St Augustine Shores HOA Board Of Directors Resign All Three 3 Amid Considerable Controversy
The Saint Augustine Shores Service Corp HOA Board of Directors; Jill Kieffer, Brad Smith and Nicolas Arocha all 3 have resigned! Looking at the following photos as pictured below, they do look very happy and content.
A few bossy and vindictive neighbors:

Acting like they own the neighborhood, over several months they continued to push and pester a few of the Board Members including the President and Treasurer into targeting a specific resident by:
1). The use of Selective Enforcement using a bogus (totally inaccurate) Code Enforcement Report. Thanks to The Shores HOA Assistant Manager & Concerned Citizen - Christine Hart!
Then, since that (revenge) didn't work, they tried for:
2). Showing up outside the targeted residents home on a Sunday afternoon, surveilling him by taking pictures and video while he tried to build a 6' foot wood fence.
OK, so St.Johns County says you don't need a special permit but The HOA Rules say you do ...
3). So instead of President Mary Jenson and then Treasurer Brad Smith kindly introducing themselves to the Targeted Resident in a friendly manner explaining to him the proper Fence Building Procedure... NO!
It's FUNNER to get the guy on film breaking the rule?
a). He didn't think there was a rule (bad-boy!) since St. John's County doesn't have a Permit Requirement and Jeff B. across the street had just built the same Fence 3 weeks earlier without any Shores HOA Permitting. And his fence breaks the 20' foot set-back rule by 2' feet!
4). lol & lol some more. Well, So, Umm, did I forget to mention that whilst the dynamic duo (Mary & Brad) were filming and surveilling the "Fence Builder Resident," hahaha, the resident grabbed his camera and started filming and photo-ing them too! While it was happening!
5). Unfortunately for them; Brad Smith who had never before been seen smiling in a photo: "“!Voila!”"

And it's no wonder Dr. Frank DDS Mr. Frank fixed him up with some cool before and after pictures!
Back in March of 2024, soon after the above before and after picture just happened to pop up on the StAugustineShores.org website, during that time, about 100 local residents including the Shores HOA board members, management & office personnel had been following the new website on a regular basis.
Since many of them had seen the before and after pictures on the website, during any further contact in person with Mr. Smith they could not resist checking out to see if cosmetic work had really been done. Which it had not. Now people would be focused on his Million Dollar Smile. (That's just my take on it).

Then, about a week after The Sunday Surveillance Episode; StAugustineShores.org published the following Mary Jenson on Gilda Drive photo with her black dog and some others too.
Obviously she was not happy at all with the publishing of these photos, since she prides herself on a Workout Fitness Activity Kickboxing Club that she runs to help Y'ALL get into Shape, lol.

Hey Mary, I've seen that you get the guys and the gals together at the Riverview Club and charge a nominal fee per session to do the "working out."
Kinda like Richard Simmons; building muscle, sweating, getting in shape and all. Cool!
For your info, I'm the real deal when it comes to kick-boxing and street-fighting if you may ever consider allowing me to be a now-and-then co-instructor.
I do think though, it would be more realistically apropos to cancel the kick-boxing cardio gig and offer Some GET UP & BOOGIE BELLY DANCING! onced in a while...
I will pay $20.00 just to be an audience smarty partici-pant(s> . $40.00 total if I can bring my camera.
The reason I say "the guys and the gals together" is because the Riverview Club - "Ladies Lodge" looks like it can sport-up some very dedicated Belly Dancers based on the recent Kick-boxing Cardio Session Group Picture.

Lovely, Ladies. If that's your Mommy there you're holding hands with Mary, you are so very fortunate to have had her all these years. Try to imagine not having her at all over the past 45 years.

... Anyways, when I was a 13 year old homeless kid running the streets in New York - just after my Mother died, Sylvia, a neighbor lady (they don't make neighbors like her anymore), from England regularly invited me to come up to her 3rd Floor Apartment for lunch.
She would catch me saying something inappropriate and taught me this saying which I've never forgotten: "Frank, many a true word is spoken in jest ... lol."
Back to business:
This led to the start of the 3 Board Members resigning and The Shores HOA Bosses spending almost $10,000.00 so far! of The Shores HOA Community Funds on a Lawsuit against (one guy), the site owner and publisher of the photos and other stories that the public should have the right to see and know about.
So the question is: In America, do we really have Free Speech and The Right to post photos that we own, and The Right to post stories and information on a website that we own, if others don't like it?
The answer is probably yes, but a Defamation / Libel Lawsuit brought on by Big Shot Board Members with Thousands of Dollars to spend on their In-house Lawyers going against just one single individual, a resident in a neighborhood, usually will cause that person to back down and to submit to their authority.
NO! I WILL NOT! That's why JACK SPENCE LAW has graciously agreed to represent us. We thank him for that.
